Joseph G. Leonske, age 78, of Green Lake, WI, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2014, at his home in Green Lake.
Joseph was born March 8, 1913, in Neshkoro, WI, the son to Andrew and Penglia (Dyck) Leonske. On November 16, 1946, he married Lucille Elizabeth Dolske at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. He became a widower on November 27, 1990. Mr. Lemonske farmed in his early years. He then had been employed at the Ripon Lumber Company and later at the W.R. Grace Company in Ripon until retiring in 1978. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.
Survivors include one brother, Lawrence Lemonski of Verona; four sisters, Marcelene Lemonski of Milwaukee, Alice Lemonski of Los Altos Hills, CA, Helen Swader of Princeton and Magdalene (George) Harbecke of Elkhorn; three sisters-in-law, Gladys and Eleanor Dolske and Mrs. Margaret Helgeson, all of Green Lake also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation for Joseph will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 1991, from 6 8:00 pm with prayer service being held at 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 1991, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Reverend Leo Joyce will officiate. Interment will follow in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established in his name.
