Joseph S. Morris, Jr. age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 1985, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Joseph was born June 25, 1903, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Joseph and Harriet (Huntley) Morris. He graduated from Ripon College in 1925 and became an advertising manager at Speed Queen for 35 years. Joseph married Margaret Hoffman. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Ripon, an honorary member and past president of Kiwanis, past member of the Ripon School Board and a past Scout Master for Troup 35.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three sons, Milton, Elroy and Joseph all of Ripon, WI; four daughters, Joanne Adamski of Ripon, WI, Marilyn Stollfus of Pickett, WI, Miriam Balda of Oshkosh, WI and Phyllis Kempfer of Ripon, WI; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Visitation for Joseph will be held on Monday, April 8, 1985, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Joseph will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 1985, at 1:30 pm at First Congregational Church with Reverend Allan Martling officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established for the church.
