Joshua “Josh” A. Downs, age 43, of Ripon, WI, passed away after a long battle with health issues on Friday, August 12, 2016 at UW Madison in Madison, WI.
Josh was born April 10, 1973, in Ripon, the son of Gene and Karen (Quick) Downs. On October 6, 2000, he married Annie Dudek. Josh worked as a chef for Heidel House, Oneida Casino, and Oshkosh Country Club, as well as an operator and mixer for Ripon Foods. He was involved in shooting sports and loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Downs; his mother, Karen Downs; his daughter, Taylor Duron; his brother, Joseph (Brooke) Downs; his nieces, Avery and Reese Downs; his step son, Joshua Neisius; his aunts and uncles, Wes (Pam) Downs, Ben (April) Downs, Barb (Carl) Packer, Lou (Fred) Holdren; he is further survived by numerous cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his father, Gene A. Downs.
Visitation for Joshua A. Downs will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016, from 4 – 7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A Graveside Service for Joshua A. Downs will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 10 am at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. Father William Whalen will officiate. A memorial is being established.
