Joy Gibbs Domke, age 80,of Ripon, died Sunday, January 5, 1997, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born August 23, 1916, in the Town of Deerfield, Waushara County, a daughter to Wylys and Carrie Bacon Gibbs. She was a graduate of Hancock High School. On February 14, 1937, she married Fred J. Domke and they farmed all their married life in the Brandon area until his death. At that time, Joy moved to Russell Manor in Ripon and worked at Parkview Care Center as food service supervisor. She was a member of the Brandon United Methodist Church and the Womens Society, and had taught Sunday School for many years.
Joy is survived by 2 daughters, Rosalind (DuWayne) Wichman of Ripon and Lynn (Sam) Adams of Madison; 2 sons, Fred (Sandy) Domke of Fairwater and Dale (Betty) Domke of Ripon; 1 brother, Harold Gibbs of Hancock; 21 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 8, 1997, at 11 A.M.
at the Brandon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gena M.
Garton officiating. Burial will be in the Brandon Cemetery,
Brandon. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7 from 4 until
8 P.M. at the ButzinMarchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on
Wednesday from 10 A.M. untiL the time of the service at the church.
