Joy Jewel Rowley, age 86, of Green Lake, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2007 at Sunnyview nursing home.
Joy was born on September 8, 1920, in Chicago, the daughter of Julius and Anna (Larsen) Hansen. She was educated at Park High School in Racine, WI. On September 19, 1942, she married John T. Rowley in Racine. Joy was a Floral Designer and a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Past Green Lake Historical Society Board, Charter Member of Tri County Animal Shelter and a County Board Member.
Survivors include daughter, Jill Tews of Princeton; sons, Thomas (Tina) Rowley of Troy, MI, Jack Rowley of Princeton, Scott Rowley and Jeffrey (Fiancé Pamela) Rowley both of Green Lake; brother, William (Helene) Hellesen of Racine; sister-in-law, Susan Hellesen of Racine; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Joy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, children, Debra Ann and Robin Gaye Rowley, and brother, Harold Hellesen.
Visitation for Joy Rowley will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the Federated Church in Green Lake.
Funeral Service for Joy Rowley will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 12:00 noon at Federated Church, Green Lake, with Pastor Karen Gygax-Rodriguez officiating. Inurnment will be held in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
