Joyce Bandt

Joyce Victoria Bandt, age 81, of Ripon, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah with her family by her side.
She was born on January 2, 1929, in the Town of Crystal Lake, WI, the daughter of Theodore and Martha (Blader) Priebe. She was brought up in the Lutheran faith and was baptized and confirmed in St. John’s Lutheran Church of Budsin in Marquette County. After graduating from Neshkoro High School and Oshkosh Business College, she worked in the office of Marathon Corporation in Menasha for nine years prior to her marriage to her best friend, DeForest Bandt on February 26, 1955. Together they farmed their farm in Marquette County for ten years. In 1965, they moved to their farm in the Town of Ripon and actively farmed there until they retired and moved to their present rural home near their farm. They observed 55 years of marriage in February of 2010. Joyce was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, Lake Shore Home Maker Club, Three Hilltoppers 4H Club Leader and attended Bible Study in the Ripon area. She loved gardening, especially her flower garden.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband, DeForest of Ripon, WI; their loving children, Jane (Steven) DeVault of LaCrosse, WI, Ruth (Larry) Jahns of Ripon, WI and Thomas (Heather) Bandt of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Audra and Nicholas DeVault of LaCrosse, WI, Konna, Michael and Christy Jahns of Ripon, WI and Joshua and Ava Bandt of Ripon, WI; sister, Ruth Priebe of Ripon, WI; sister-in-law, Yvonne Priebe of Marian, IA and many dear nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Theodore Priebe and infant sister, Bernice.
Visitation for Joyce Bandt will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon and again on Thursday, July 29, 2010, from 10 – 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 W. Fond du Lac St. Ripon.
Funeral Service for Joyce Bandt will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Louis Bock and Neil Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
