Joyce I. Cotter

Joyce Irene Cotter, age 90, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Whispering Pines Nursing Home.

Joyce was born on April 5, 1934, in Ripon, the daughter of Alvin and Adeline (Springborn) Cluppert. She graduated from Ripon High School. On December 27, 1958, Joyce married Thomas A. Cotter. They were married for 54 years before Thomas preceded her in death on December 14, 2012. Joyce enjoyed spending her time watching her favorite Hallmark movies. Her greatest joy was visiting and being around her family.

Joyce is survived by her son, Michael Cotter of Verona, WI; grandchildren, Sara (Joseph) Possing of St. Francis, WI, Andrew Cotter of Madison, WI, and Megan (Rafael) Hernandez of Madison, WI; a great-grandchild, Maverick Hernandez; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Adeline Cluppert; her husband, Thomas Cotter; daughter, Jane M. Cotter; brother, Roger Cluppert; and sister, Violet Banks. 

Visitation for Joyce will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI, 54971.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, also at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, in Ripon, with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM Cap officiating. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream of the Mass will be available at https://www.facebook.com/stcatherineripon. Interment will follow after Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
