Joyce Hoch

Joyce M. Hoch, age 76, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, with her family at her side.
Joyce was born in Fond du Lac on April 4, 1934, the daughter of Theoadore and Ella (Weinreis) Schraven. She graduated from Rosendale High School and went on to Milwaukee Community College. On September 4, 1954, she married Darvin “Dobbie” Hoch. Joyce worked in the food service department at Ripon College. Joyce was an awesome grandmother who followed her grandchildren wherever they were, a good babysitter helping them color and with their reading, and was always there for her family. The Schraven family reunion was organized and setup by Joyce.
Survivors include her husband, Dobbie of Ripon; two sons, Scott Hoch, and Kevin (Vicki) Hoch; grandchildren, Nickolas, Emily, Kennedy, and Karrington; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Connie Ballwanz, and Eleanor Daniels; and one brother, Myron Schraven.
Visitation for Joyce M. Hoch will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011, from
3 - 6:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon.
Funeral service for Joyce M. Hoch will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Pastor Gerald Schrankler officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Rosendale Cemetery, Village of Rosendale, WI. A memorial is being established.
