Joyce Huth

Joyce “Shorty” Huth, age 63, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Shorty was born on October 30, 1949, in Ripon, the daughter of Noel and Anna (Roeder) Thiel. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1967. Shorty was employed with Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ and was in the Senior and Hand Bell Choir in the church. Shorty loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and capturing nature by taking photos. Shorty also enjoyed playing softball, being on the bowling league and making many different crafts.

Survivors include her two sons, Carlton (Pepper) Huth of Ripon and their daughter, Piper and John (Jamie) Huth of Oshkosh, WI and their children, Corel, Brad and Jade; father of her sons, Alfred J. Huth of Ripon, WI; brother, David (Corky) Thiel of Ripon, WI and their children, Richard (Barb) Thiel, Debra (Keith) Trapp and Dawn (Jim) Weber and sister, Noann (Roy) Gomoll of Ripon, WI and their children, Jim (Jenna) Gomoll and Jennifer (John) Polasky; cousins, Bev (Roger) Fenner of Ripon, WI and William (Marie Ann) Waltenberry of Ripon, WI. She is further survived by many other cousins, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and friends. Shorty was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Joyce will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 10 – 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Joyce will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Gerald Schrankler and Reverend Gary Miller will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. A memorial is being established.
