Joyce Culver Stobb, age 74, of Central Park Apartments, 517 Newbury St, Ripon, passed away Tuesday morning, October 26, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

She was born May 12, 1930, in Oakfield, a daughter to Kenneth Charles and Coral (Bennett) Culver. She was educated in Ripon, and on September 25, 1948, she married Arden Louis Stobb. Joyce had been a bookkeeper at Ripon Hospital for 15 years. In 1971, she and her husband moved to the Rio area where they lived for 23 years. After his death in 2001, she moved back to Ripon. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and the Ripon Homemaker’s Club, and was a past member of the Portage Methodist Church. Joyce and Arden were church custodians for many years at Portage church.

Survivors include her children, David (Sharon) Stobb of Ripon, Glen (Peggy) Stobb of Springbrook, and Keith (Cindy) Stobb of Ripon; grandchildren, Jeremy Stobb, Rachel (Dennis) Fowler, Eric Stobb, Heather (Jay) Roos, Kevin Stobb, Greg Stobb, and Lindsey Stobb; and great-grandchildren, Austin Fowler and Emily Fowler; brother, Ronald (Carol) Culver of Fisk; and sister, Barbara (Richard) Prellwitz of Appleton. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral service for Joyce C. Stobb will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2004, at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon with Rev. David A. Busker officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials may be given to Immanuel United Methodist Church in her name.
