Joyce Ziesmer

Joyce Arlene Ziesmer, age 75, formerly of Ripon and Green Lake, died Monday morning, September 11, 2000, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.

She was born December 7, 1924, in Fond du Lac Co., a daughter to Frank and Ethel (Stelimacher) Ninneman. She attended school in Ripon, and on September 30, 1944, she married Edward “Bud” Ziesmer. Joyce had been employed at Norton’s Supper Club in Green Lake for 25 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon.

Survivors include her daughter, Jane Lafler Ziesmer and fiance’ James Van Doren of Waupun; 2 sons, Ron (Linda) Ziesmer of Green Lake and Jerry (Peggy) Ziesmer of Ripon; 3 grandchildren, Mark (Patty) Ziesmer of Ripon, Brent Ziesmer of Ripon and Julie (Meade) Grim of Green Lake; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Gladys (Wilbert) Retzlaff of Crandon, Fern Wagner of Ripon, June (Bernard) Hall of Cambelisport and Beatrice (Gene) Warner of Campbellsport; and 1 brother, Palmer Ninneman and friend, Nancy of Rosendale. She was preceded in death by 3 infant siblings which included a set of twins, husband, Edward “Bud”, and brother, Darwin Ninneman.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2000, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon with Rev. Jonathan Stansfield officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorials to the American Cancer Society. lnurnment for Edward “Bud” and Joyce Ziesmer will take place at a later date at Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake.
