Juanita Mae Kalata, age 66, of Ripon, died Tuesday, November 7, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh as a result of a recent traffic accident in the Town of Princeton.
She was born April 24, 1934, a daughter to Otto Mike and Marie Rose (Dickerson) Henke. She graduated from Almond High School. On June 11, 1955, she married James Kalata in Almond. Juanita had been head cook at Parkview Nursing Home for 20 years, and was a member of the Ripon Bowling League.
Survivors include 3 sons, Melvin Kalata of Ripon, Kenneth Kalata of Dalton, and Rodney Kalata of Ripon; 1 daughter, Anna Kalata Dahlke (Ralph Liptow) of Ripon; 6 grandchildren, Jeromy, Kathy, Laura, Crystal, Krista, and Angela; 2 great-grandchildren, James and Lisa; brothers and sisters, Harriet Henke Laatsch, Harvey & Margaret Henke, John Henke, Bob & Velma Henke, Albertha Henke Witt, and Mike Henke; brothers~in-law, Jack (Pat) Kalata and Philip (Eldene) Kalata; many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by special friends, Matt, Doris & Curt Kruezinger, Millie Kranz, and Jeanette Henke. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 5 sisters, and recently her husband.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November, 10, 2000, at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh with Rev. Debora Hillgartner officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 9 from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel.
