Julius Selchow, Jr., age 74 of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 1986 at Berlin Memorial Hospital, Berlin, WI.
Julius was born on April 7, 1912 in Green Lake, the son of Gustave Sr. and Martha (Rohode) Selchow. He lived in Green Lake all of his life and was a graduate of Green Lake High School. Julius was a caretaker and chaffeur for Rollins Estate for many years and also worked on the Green Lake County Highway Deptartment for 10 years. On April 17, 1938 he married Evelyn Hinc. Julius was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and Dartford Cemetery Board.
Julius is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a son, Robert Selchow of Madisonville, KY; a daughter, Judy (Donald) Mehn of Berlin, WI; five grandchildren; a brother, William Selchow, Sr. of Green Lake, WI; and two sisters, Anna McGroarty of Milwaukee, WI and Elsie Bridge of Appleton, WI. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Visitation for Julius will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 1986 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 5, 1986 at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake, WI, with Reverend Rodney Dietsche officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, WI. A memorial has been established in Julius' name.
