June Hageman

June Marie Hageman, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at her home with her family by her side.

June was born on June 22, 1924, in Horicon, WI, the daughter of Ferdinand and Lilly (Ulbricht) Pitzlin. She attended Horicon Public Schools and St. Stephen’s Parochial Schools. June graduated from Dodge County Teacher’s College in 1948. She taught at schools in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties. On August 25, 1948, June married her beloved husband, Leslie Hageman in Horicon. Later, she was a housewife and a helper on the farm. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale where she taught Sunday school for many years. June enjoyed quilting for the poor and needy thru the church, and she was also a 4-H Leader. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Leslie of 61 years; two children, Larry “Fuzzy” (Paula) Hageman and Mary (Nate) Johnston; four grandchildren, Kurt, Kris, Matthew and Cody; two step-grandchildren, Anna and Adam; two great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Savannah; three brothers, Kenneth (Donna), John (Barbara) and David (Jo Ellen); two sisters-in-law, Marion and Lovilla; and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Adam Tyler; brothers, Glenn and Lewis; sister, Mae; sister-in-law, Hazel; brother-in-law, Clifford Hodgson.

Visitation for June Hageman will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010, from 10 -1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 124 S. Main St. Rosendale, WI 54974.

Funeral Service for June Hageman will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. Reverend Charles R. Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, 124 S. Main St. Rosendale, WI 54974 or Agnesian Hospice Hope, 745 South St. Green Lake, WI 54941.
