June Harriet Wright, age 89, formerly of Rosendale, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Oshkosh, with family by her side.
June was born June 19, 1924, in Stoughton, WI, the daughter of Thomas Odin and Emma (Hendrickson) Joitel. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School class of 1942. June went on to attend Madison Cosmetology School in Madison and worked as a Beauty Operator for two years in Madison. On October 3, 1946, June was united in marriage to Edmund O. “Ed” Wright at Central Lutheran Church in Stoughton, WI. June was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church of Rosendale; where she sang in the church choir for 40 years, was part of the Ladies Aid and Prayer Circle. June was an amazing and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Survivors include sons: Thomas (Joan) Wright of Parma, OH, David (Carol) Wright of Fond du Lac, WI, Greg (Mary Ellen) Wright of Delavan, WI, Steve (Beth) Wright of Oshkosh, WI, Kevin (Laurel) Wright of Savage, MN; daughters: Sonja (John) Macho of Oshkosh, WI, Janel (Paul) Rumbuc of Oshkosh, WI, Julie (Brett) Poquette of Oshkosh, WI; step-sisters: Donna Witte (Ray) Harlow of Grapevine, TX, Barbara Lysager (Howard) Vindedahl of Kalamazoo, MI; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents, Thomas and Emma Joitel; her sisters: Avis Joitel, (infant), Elinor (Harry) Wright, Ada (Jerry) Trieloff.
Visitation for June H. Wright will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 9 – 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale, 124 S. Main Street, Rosendale, WI 54974.
Funeral Service for June H. Wright will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. Reverend Charles R. Thompson will officiate. A luncheon at the church will follow the funeral service. Interment will then follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. Memorials will be sent to Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale and Heartland Hospice.
