Junior Shorty Lind, age 73, Ripon, passed away Monday afternoon, June 5, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
He was born August 14, 1932 in the Township of Bloomfield, Waushara County, a son to John H. and Lydia (Yesse) Lind. On December 26, 1953, Junior married Arlene Meyer at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. He served our country in the Army from 1953 1955. Shorty was a dairy farmer, and belonged to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; 3 sons, John (Debra) Lind, Redgranite, David (Beth) Lind, and Jerry (Julie) Lind of Ripon; 2 daughters, Joe (Gail) Schuldt, Brandon, Kevin (Karen) Stibb, AZ; 8 grandchildren, Johnathon, Jessica, Justin, Erin, Alyssa and Brett Lind, Angela and Amanda Schuldt; 1 brother, Charles (Lyda) Lind, Poy Sippi; 5 sisters, Helen Manske, Ripon, Carolyn Schultz, and Lida (Norman) Miller all of Ripon, Mae Dillman, Berlin, and Myra (Arnold) Schoncheck, Omro; 1 sister-in-law, Marge Lind, Berlin; step-grandson, Josh (Beth) Nighbor; step granddaughter, Jessica Stibb; great-granddaughter, Lailah Schuldt; step great-granddaughter, Avery Nighbor; and step great-grandson, Caleb Stibb. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Irene Hilke; 2 brothers, Norman and George Lind, 4 brothers-in-law, Edward Manske, Charles Dillman, Ray Schultz, and Edwin Hilke.
VISITATION for Junior Shorty Lind, will be held Thursday, June 8, 2006, from 4:00 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon; and Friday, June 9, 2006, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ripon.
FUNERAL SERVICE for Junior Shorty Lind will be held Friday, June 9, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Pastor Alan F. Schaffmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Brushville Cemetery, Town of Bloomfield, Waushara County. A memorial has been established.
