Justin Blaine Shank, 16, of W4295 Grand River Rd, Markesan, Town of Manchester, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Thursday evening, March 10, 2005.
He was born April 2, 1988, in Columbus, OH, son of Jeffrey Norman and Judith Ann (Handley) Shank. Justin was full time student at Green Lake High School and did part time maintenance at Ripon Children’s Learning Center. He was a member of Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church and avid member of the Youth Group, and former member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church of Columbus, OH. Justin was a member of the Green Lake High School football team, founding member of the Green Lake Chess Club, also a member of the Green Lake band and percussion ensemble. He was a future member of the National Honor Society and an alternate to Badger Boys State in 2005.
Survivors include his parents, Jeff & Judy Shank of Manchester; 1 uncle, Bill Arthur of Ormond Beach, Fl; and step-grandmother, Belva Sines Handley of Columbus, OH. His grandparents preceded him in death.
Funeral service for Justin Blaine Shank will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at the Green Lake High School with Rev. Gary Zacharias officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 14 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again Tuesday 1 hour prior to the service at the school. A memorial has been established for Justin at the Green Lake State Bank.
Justin will be greatly missed by his parents, dogs, teachers and countless friends, both in Wisconsin and Ohio. Until we meet again, Justin may God watch over you for us. We love you and miss you.
