Karen Suess, age 58, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 into the arms of her heavenly Father, at home with her family by her side.
Karen was born December 8, 1953, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Ruedinger) Binder. She graduated from Oshkosh High School and furthered her degree at Fox Valley Technical College and graduated with a degree in Nursing. On March 22, 1975, Karen married Ron Suess at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Oshkosh, WI. She worked as an LPN for Sheltered Village in Ripon. Karen was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, and a member of the Parish Council. She was a member of many and various Horse Organizations around the area for Endurance Horse Riding.
Survivors include her husband Ron, who better love me forever; two wonderful children, Pat (Danielle) Suess of Madison, WI, Robin (Nate) Wilson of Oshkosh, WI; four grandchildren. Adam, Destiney, Noah and Katherine, I love you all; parents Richard and Dorothy Binder of Oshkosh- the best parents they could ever be and I love them!; sister Mary (Jeff) Paulick of Oshkosh, WI, who will surely go to heaven for all she’s done for me; brothers, Jeff and Alan Binder of Oshkosh, WI; sisters-in-law, Deb (Bruce) Dumann of Oshkosh, Jean Suess of Oshkosh, WI, and Ruth Suess of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Mic (Barb) Suess of Lohrville, WI; Aunts Janet Paulsen, who prayed constantly for me and Judy Hayes. Karen is also survived by her best friends, Donna and Gary Ruhl, her horse-riding buddy Katie (Mike) Bachhuber, and Cindy (Bill) Kimball; her best equine friends, Art and Sam, and Evie the canine who runs the household.
Visitation for Karen Suess will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971 and again on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, from 9:30-10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Karen Suess will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Father Robert Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the town of Nepeuskun, WI. Memorials may be directed to The Green Lake Humane Society, Green Lake, WI. In lieu of flowers please bring lots and lots of balloons or give all your money to Ron since he will have to pay for this crummy funeral.
