Karl Fredrick Braun, age 78, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 1990, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
He was born February 9, 1911, a son to John and Margaret (Behrens) Braun. On January 24, 1934, he married Frieda Krimel in Sheboygan.
Mr. Braun was educated in Sheboygan. He had lived in Ripon since 1950. He was past manager of the Pin Bowl and co-owner of the Bread Basket Bakery in Ripon. He later worked for Dolata Office Supply in Ripon. Mr. Braun was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a member of the church council. He was also a past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Frieda; one son, Karl of Oak Harbor, WA; three daughters, Helen Cerney of Ripon, Judith Curry of Decatur, IL and Elizabeth Schauer of Green Bay; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Dorothy Smith of Pomona, CA. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation for Karl will be held on Sunday, February 4, 1990 from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 5, 1990, 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend John A. Schmitz will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in the Town of Ripon.
