Karla M. Clemons, age 55, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Waupun Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Karla was born January 3, 1959, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of John and Betty (Bryant) Edwards. She graduated from Peoria Central High School. Karla met the love of her life, Bob Wessels in Ripon in 2005. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker who loved her children. Karla loved the outdoors, especially hiking with her dog on the South Woods Trails in Ripon. She enjoyed fishing and camping in the Ripon and Green Lake area. She had a green thumb in gardening. In the last few years, Karla loved traveling with Bob to the National Parks out west, the Canadian Boundary Waters and the beaches in the Gulf of Mexico. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her partner, Bob Wessels of Ripon, WI; her parents John and Betty Bryant of Dallas, TX; her three children, Carmen (Gilli) Coren of North Hollywood, CA, Ben Clemons of Chicago, IL and Zach (Kayla) Clemons of Oshkosh, WI; two grandchildren, Sydnie and Adalyn Clemons; sister, Nancy (Jim) Sherer of Dallas, TX and her niece and nephew, Hayley and Sean of Dallas, TX. Karla was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and her yellow lab, Comet.
Per Karla’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life in the Spring of 2015. Karla was an animal lover and memorials can be made to Tri County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 86, Green Lake, WI 54941.
