Katherine Kay Troudt, age 55, of Ripon, WI, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, January 2, 2016.
Katherine was born August 27, 1960, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of Richard and Barbara (Wahoske) Troudt. She was a graduate of Ripon High School. Katherine was co-owner of Markesan Auto and Truck Repair and also worked as parts manager for various automotive dealerships throughout the Ripon area for many years. She simply adored her dogs Sabbatha and Thunderous and loved driving “Ma’s Machine,” her CJ5 Jeep.
Survivors include her son, Shane Kwakkel and his significant other, Ruth Hernandez of Ripon, WI; daughter, Shannon (Kelly) Peth and their sons, Brett and Brice Peth all of Ripon, WI; mother, Barbara Troudt also of Ripon; sister, Christine (Jeffrey) Blackburn of Pickett, WI, and twin sister, Kelly (Bur) Zeratsky of Green Lake, WI, and brother, Richard (Kristian) Troudt of Ripon, WI; aunts, Delores Mattern of Denver, CO, and Harriet Wahoske of Ripon, WI, and ex-husband of 34 years, Steve Kwakkel of Markesan, WI. Katherine is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Troudt; son, Steven O. Kwakkel and grandparents, Albert (Lucille) Wahoske and George (Elsie) Troudt. Katherine is further preceded by her aunts and uncles.
Visitation for Katherine Kay Troudt will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Katherine Kay Troudt will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in the City of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
