Katherine Wright, age 84, of Ripon, WI passed away on Friday, May 6, 1955 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Katherine was born in Chicago, IL on August 28, 1870, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Munday) Smith. She was educated in Chicago and worked in the Chicago Public Library for many years. On June 6, 1893 she married Frederick S. Wright in Chicago. Katherine has resided in Chicago and Belvidere, IL; Lake Geneva, WI and the last 6 years in Ripon, WI.
Katherine is survived by a daughter, Katherine Wright of Ripon, WI; three grandchildren, Gerald Wright of Fort Belvoir, VA, Virginia Wright of Dellinger, Germany, and Kenneth Wright of Tuscon, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Wright; one son; and one sister.
Visitation for Katherine will be held from 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, 1955 until 9:00 am on Monday, May 9, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Katherine will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, May 9, 1955 at St. Peter Episcopal Church in Ripon, with Reverend Patrick Murphy. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon, WI.
