Kathleen (Yasick) Colson

Kathleen “Kathy” E. (Yasick) Colson, age 59, of Ripon, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon, WI.
Kathy was born on December 28, 1950, in Ripon, the daughter of Stephan and Eleanor (Woitkielevicz) Yasick. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1969, and went to MPTC for Computer Programmer. She always enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Kathy lived a hard difficult life but faced every challenge with determination to survive; her strength and integrity will be missed.
Survivors include one daughter, KaSandra (Jason) Kast of Ripon, WI; two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Longsine Sr. of Ripon, WI and David (Friend Ellen) Longsine of Neenah, WI; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Kast and Scott, Tabitha and Kenneth Longsine Jr.; brother, Melvin (RoseAnn) Yasick Sr. of Montello, WI; sister, Mary Ann Remmenga of Freedom, WI; sister-in-law, Darlene Yasick of Grand Rapids, MI; very special friend, Wilbur Tesch of Ripon, WI, and special friends, Kris Jahns and Vicki Steinberg. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene; nephew, Steve; and brother-in-law, Ralph Remmenga.
Visitation for Kathleen Colson will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, from 4 – 5:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with a Rosary at 5:30 pm. Visitation will continue till 7:00 pm and again on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen Colson will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
