Kathryn Ellis

Kathryn Elizabeth Ellis, age 21, of Green Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 29, 2008.

Kathryn was born on March 20, 1986, in Ripon, the beloved daughter of Mark and Lori (Groveau) Ellis and younger sister to Sean Ellis. She graduated from Green Lake High School in 2004. Kathryn was known for her contagious sense of humor, as well as her compassion and loyalty to her friends and family. She was quoted as saying that she enjoyed life, and derived happiness from life’s simpler things such as boxed wine, presents, Christmas, snow angels, scented candles, full moons, concerts, flowers, thunderstorms, boats, the Discovery channel, sketching, music, laughter, singing, and dancing. “I try not to let the little things get me down and I love going out with my friends”. Kathryn will be remembered as a beautiful and vibrant young lady, a loving daughter and sister, and a friend to many.

Survivors include her parents, Mark and Lori Ellis; brother Sean Ellis; grandparents Dave and Peggy Ellis, and Elaine Groveau; aunts and uncles Rebecca Ellis, Dan (Lisa) Ellis, Therese (Marv) Cichlar, Linda (Jerry) Dalton, James (Lorraine) Groveau, Jean (Tom) Lehocky, Robert (Susan) Groveau, Mark Groveau, and Matt Groveau; many cousins and friends. Kathryn was preceded in death by her grandfather James Groveau; great-grandfather John Markunas; and great-uncle Joseph Allen.

Visitation for Kathryn Elizabeth Ellis will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake.

Funeral services for Kathryn Elizabeth Ellis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
