Kathryn D. Malchow, age 15, of Ripon, died Thursday February 24, 2000, as a result of a car-school bus accident in the Town of Metomen.
She was born December 24, 1984, in Portsmouth, VA, a daughter to Larry and Francine (DuFault) Maichow. Katie was currently a freshman at Ripon Senior High School. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
She is survived by her parents, Larry & Francine Malchow, 2 sisters, Abby, Lamoore, CA & Cassie, Los Angeles, CA; 1 brother, Donald, Ripon; grandparents, Juno & Elaine Graf, Ripon and Dewey & Marge DuFault, Marietta, GA; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Her great-grandparents preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial for Kathryn D. Malchow will be at 1:30 PM on Monday, February 28, 2000, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon, with Father Robert A. Fictum officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 27 from 4 until 7 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon where a prayer service will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will also be Monday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
