Kathryn Ann Roesch, age 63, lost her battle against ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease) on Saturday, October 5, 1991. She passed away at peace, surrounded by her family and friends at her residence in Ripon.
She was born January 19, 1928, in Mosinee, a daughter to Earl and Pearl (Akey) Bachman. She graduated from Mosinee High School and attended St. Marys School of Nursing in Wausau. She was a Lt. Jr. Grade in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, serving from 1951 until 1953. On June 6, 1953, she married John Roesch, Sr. in Mosinee.
Mrs. Roesch was a Registered Nurse at Parkview Care Center, Ripon and Berlin Memorial Hospital, and was also a volunteer at Ripon Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon.
She is survived by her husband, John; one son, John (Susan) Roesch, Jr. of Ripon; five daugthers, Mary (Dave) Trout of Cincinnati, OH; Barbara Schmidt of Cedar Grove; Karen (Al) Haskell of New Berlin; Ann (Doug) Baneck of Ripon; and Paula (Rick) Schumacher of De Pere; nine grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Bernadette) Bachman of Appleton; and one sister, Barbara (Dr. John C.) Teich of Springfield, IL. Her parents preceded her in death.
Friends may call Monday, October 7, 1991, from 4 until 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon where a Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathryn Ann Roesch will be held Tuesday, October 8, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon. The Reverend John A. Schmitz will officiate. Private Interment will be held at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established in Kathryns name for the battle against ALS.
