Katie Ann Kinas-Warren, age 58, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at her home in Green Lake, WI.
Kate the great was born on March 11, 1958, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Brooks) Kinas. In 1991, she married Keith Warren. Katie graduated from Green Lake high school and went on to attend UW LaCrosse and UW Oshkosh to pursue a physical therapy degree. She found herself, as she would say, The keeper of the books at the family business. She is part of the 3rd generation that owns/runs Kopplin & Kinas Co., Inc. in Green Lake. She was also the first female dump truck driver in the area. Katie attended The Federated Church of Green Lake, and enjoyed being a member of the Green Lake Bird Association. Kate had a love of swimming and working with people of all ages teaching swimming lessons and other water classes. She helped many learn to swim and enjoy the water as she did. She also had a passion to make things grow, birdwatching, wildlife, and a tremendous love of animals.
Katie is survived by her husband, Keith Warren of Green Lake, WI, and Keiths daughters, April and Dick Klaver, Pam and David Drews; brothers, Charlie (Tracy) Kinas of Germantown, WI, Oz ( Kandy) Kinas of Green Lake, WI, Bill and Lori Kinas of Green Lake, WI, Ward Kinas of Green Lake, WI, Chris and Sue Kinas of Princeton, WI; sister, Letty and Matt Wagner of Green Lake, WI; nieces, Kara, Tiffany, Katelynn, Claire, and Emily; nephews, Stefan, John, Ben, Jacob, Bradley, Colin, and Cameron; and close friends, Cheri Rose and Tom and Jane Willett. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and a sister-in-law, Sherry Kinas.
Per her familys wishes there will be a private family service held on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez will officiate. Inurnment will be held at Dartford Cemetery. Memorials may be donated in Katies name to the Green Lake Animal Shelter, N6217 Busse Road, Green Lake, WI, 54941.
