Keith Jerome Hurst Jr., age 44, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Keith was born in Oshkosh, WI on October 6, 1971, to Keith J. and Patricia (Harbin) Hurst Sr.
Keith is survived by his daughter, Kaelyn (Mark Doering) Hurst and his grandson, Brayden Schmidt both of Appleton; his mother, Patricia Morton of Ripon; sisters, Robin Ingram of Fond du Lac, Donna Hurst of Ripon and Sheri (Jason) Walsh of Ripon; brother, Mike (Rose) Morton of Surprise, AZ; his guardian, Carol (Leroy) Barbian of Oshkosh and his best “bud” Patty Helien of Oshkosh; nephews, Beau Wrzinski of Oshkosh, Josh (Val Surita) Ammeter of Fond du Lac, Josh (Catie), Mike Jr and Gunnar Morton of Surprise, AZ, Logan (Yas) Sobczak of Appleton; nieces, Nichole (Chris Stein) Rivera of Ripon, Bailey Morton of AZ, Jaylynn Walsh of Ripon; great nieces and nephews, Isaiah Sollberger, Adrian Rivera, Noah and Lily Sobczak, Nova Tomayo, Antonio Surita and Aliya Ammeter and uncles and aunts, Peggy and James Newman of GA, Paul and Karen Morton of Neenah, Lynne and Jim McKnight of FL. Keith was preceded in death by his two dads, Keith Hurst Sr. and Ralph Morton; all his grandparents and his uncle, John Morton.
Per Keith’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family inurnment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, 1531 S. Madison St., Suite 250, Appleton, WI 54915.
Many thanks go out to Dr. Klinkhammer, Dr. Davis and all staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology for their care of Keith. Also God Bless and thank you to Robin, Ryan, Michelle, Gina, Mike and Nancy of Affinity Hospice. You all are angels of mercy.
Keith is loved deeply and will be missed by all his family and friends. Goodbye “Hershey”, we’ll see ya on the other side.
