Kenneth Lee Beuthin, age 46, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born April 2, 1968, in Ripon, a son of Darwin and Janet (Schattschneider) Beuthin. Ken was a graduate of Green Lake High School in 1986 and went on to graduate from Marian College in 1993 with a minor in coaching.
Ken invested his life in the City of Green Lake as a volunteer with the Police Department, Fire Department and First Responders. He was an assistant with the Green Lake High School baseball team, the Babe Ruth baseball team and the American Legion team. Ken was the Green Lake Crossing Guard for 19 years. He also helped many of his neighbors with various tasks. Ken was a member of The Federated Church of Green Lake and the Dartford Historical Society. In his younger years, he had a liver transplant and battled illnesses for most of his life but he never gave up.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Beuthin of Green Lake, WI; two sisters, Debra Moats of Norfolk, NE and Mary (Jeff) Moyle of Ripon, WI; brother, Don Beuthin of Green Lake, WI; uncles, Gilbert Beuthin of Princeton, WI, David (Peggy) Beuthin and Dennis (Jill) Beuthin both of Ripon, WI, Larry (Beth) Beuthin of Fairwater, WI and Gerald (Peggy) Beuthin of Berlin, WI; his aunt, Betty (Dave) Kuen of Neenah, WI; special nephews, Logan and Justin Moyle of both of Ripon, WI. Ken is also survived by many beloved cousins and many dear friends. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Darwin Beuthin; sister, Barbara Beuthin; grandparents, LeRoy and Jessie Schattschneider and Louie and Viola Beuthin; uncles, Louie, Ervin and Vernon Beuthin and aunts, Ruth, Joan, Doris and Carol Beuthin.
Visitation for Ken will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 9 11:00 am at The Federated Church of Green Lake, 489 Scott St., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Memorial service for Ken will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 11:00 am at The Federated Church of Green Lake. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Memorials may be directed to Gift of Life Transplant House, 705 Second St. SW, Rochester, MN 55902 or a charity of your choice.
