Kenneth Griffiths

Kenneth Lawrence Griffiths, age 69, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Friday, November 20, 1992, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

He was born July 8, 1923, in Rosendale, the son of Henry and Blanche (Harvey) Griffiths. He married Opal Roeder on June 7, 1958. He was educated in Rosendale. He then served in the U.S. Navy for 2 years. He graduated from Pensacola Photo School as an official Navy Photographer, and since that time he has been a free-lance photographer. He had worked at Giddings and Lewis in Fond du Lac for 26 years and presently was employed at the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh.

Ken was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale an was a church usher, chairman of the Boy Scouts, 4-H Photography Leader, secretary of Local 1402 for many years, and a member of the American Legion Post 43. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Fox Hunters Club, the Otter Street Fishing Club in Oshkosh and the Green Lake Fishing Club.

Ken loved and respected the outdoors, and hunting and fishing were some of his favorite pastimes. The Griffiths family had been awarded the Century Farm Plaque for having a centennial-owned farm.

In addition to his wife, Opal, he is survived by two daughters, Celesta (Gary) Blank of Neenah and Janece (Tom) Touchet of Appleton; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacqueline Blank; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for Kenneth L. Griffiths will be held Monday, November 23, 1992 at 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale. The Reverend Bruce Buslaff will officiate. Interment will follow in the North Eldorado Cemetery in the Town of Eldorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale in his name.
