Kenneth Lamonska, age 82, of Oakfield, WI, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, at his home with family by his side.
Ken was born June 29, 1932, in Green Lake County, WI, the son of Edward and Edna (Frei) Lamonska. Ken Graduated from Markesan High School and then went on to serve the United States Military from 1951 1953 in the Korean War. After his dutiful service, Ken married Charmaine Ludjack on July 25, 1953. He then worked construction before he started farming in 1961. There was nothing Ken could not fix including making furniture for his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. Ken loved Polka music and liked to visit the casino once in a while. He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, the Oakfield Lions and The Ripon JCs.
Survivors include his children, Joel Lamonska and Julie (Jim) Van Gorder of Fond du Lac, WI, Kerry Lamonska and Timothy (Kris) Lamonska of Oakfield, WI; grandchildren, Tanya (Andrew) Rentmeester of Campbellsport, WI and Jodi Van Gorden both of Fond du Lac, WI, Adam Lamonska, Taylor Lamonska and Mya and Aly Lamonska all of Oakfield, WI and Amy Lamonska of Pacific Grove, CA; great-grandchildren, Davin, Ada and Dayton Rentmeester all of Campbellsport, WI and; two brothers, Arnold (Muriel) Lamonska of Ripon, WI, and Arthur (Carol) Lamonska of Berlin, WI. Ken is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews as well. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charmaine and two sisters, Elaine and Marjorie.
Visitation for Ken will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 5 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 10 11:00 am at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, N5680 Towne Road, Rosendale, WI 54974.
Funeral Service for Ken will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 11:00 am at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Rogersville. Pastor Kimberly Stowell will officiate. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum, Town of Empire, Fond du Lac with Full Military Honors. A memorial is being established in his name.
