Kenneth Lund

Kenneth A. Lund, age 76, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on April 6, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI.

Ken was born on April 28, 1937, in Chicago, IL, the son of Calvin and Florence (Ring) Lund. He graduated from Shurz High School in Chicago, IL and went on to serve our country in the United States Army. On August 18, 1979, he was united in marriage to Judi Liptow in Westchester, IL. Ken had a passion for boating and the marine industry as a whole. He was the owner of Lund Marine in Green Lake. He had also worked for Moe’s Marine Service in Oshkosh; Bell Industries in Germantown; and Barnett Boat Company in Green Lake, WI. Ken was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, he was an instructor at the Boating School in Green Lake; and he had also served on the Green Lake School District as a Board Member.

Survivors include his wife, Judi Lund, Green Lake, WI; daughter, Melissa (Tyler) Lundt, Schaumburg, IL; grandson, Trey Lundt, Schaumburg, IL; sister, Lois (Art) Herschberger, Princeton, WI; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Nancy Zeka.

Visitation for Kenneth A. Lund will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971, and again on Friday, April 11, 2014, from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold Street, Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Kenneth A. Lund will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Charles R. Thompson will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold Street, Ripon, WI 54971.
