Kenneth D. Mueller; Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa, age 78, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Ripon Medical Center.
Ken was born on January 4, 1929, to Adolph and Irene (Gatzke) Mueller in Ripon. He attended a one room country school until he went to work for the family on their farm. Ken farmed all his life east of Ripon until he retired and sold the farm in 1995. He then moved to Ripon. On April 28, 1948, he married the love of his life, Jeannette Butzlaff, in Oshkosh. They shared 51 years together before Jeanie died in August of 1999. He was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, past member of the Ushers Club, helped deliver bulletins and belonged to the Elderberries. He was also a volunteer at the Ripon Medical Center. Ken loved working with animals and had horses and dogs too numerous to remember. He always had time to pet a dog or rub down a horse. His faithful companion dog, Katie, passed away on Tuesday.
He is survived by four children; Vicki (Allan) Burr of Redgranite, Jeffery (Sandra) Mueller, DeWayne Mueller and Pamela Mueller all of Ripon. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren especially his grandsons who referred to him as Duker, Kenneth (fiancée Jennifer Garrett) Mueller, Michael Mueller, Robert Mueller, Matthew Mueller, Pamela (Randall) Dykstra, and Renee (Richard) Nighbor. He is further survived by great-grandchildren Jeffery, Aryeanna, Kayla, Kody, Kasey, Christopher, and Aaron. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, grandson Jeffery Mueller, Jr. and great-grandson, Thomas Nighbor.
Visitation for Kenneth D. Mueller will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon and again on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ.
Funeral Service for Kenneth D. Mueller will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon with Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A Memorial has been established.
