La Verne W. Eagan, age 95, of Ripon, WI formerly of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Michalenes in Ripon.
La Verne was born on August 22, 1915, in Ripon, the daughter of Chase and Anna (Beier) Heatley. She graduated from Ripon High School. On July 13, 1948,
La Verne married Hy Eagan in Neenah. She worked as a secretary at Kohl Hardware, Coe Drug and enjoyed being a homemaker at her home throughout her life. La Verne was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, Womens and Rachel Circle of the church, American Legion Auxiliary and also volunteered at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Lucille Eagan of Berlin, WI and Elaine Heatley of Ripon, WI; nieces and nephews, Tom (Kathy) Eagan of Shorewood, MN, Monica (Pat) Butler of Cottage Grove, WI, Lynn (Donna) Heatley of Pittsford, NY, Jon (Diane) Heatley of Ripon, WI and Gregg (special friend, Amanda) Heatley of Fitchburg, WI. La Verne was preceded in death by her infant sister, Anita Althea Heatley; parents, husband, one brother, Truman Heatley; and one brother-in-law, Clarence.
Visitation for La Verne Eagan will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 9 10:30 am at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, 808 N. Main St. Oshkosh, WI.
Funeral Service for La Verne Eagan will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at 10:30 am at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Pastor Jennifer Czarnota will officiate. Entombment will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 2786 Algoma Blvd Oshkosh, WI. Memorials may be given to St. Agnes Hospice Hope, 430 E. Division St. Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
