Laila Leese, age 89, of Ripon, died March 8, 1996, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born September 1, 1906, in the Town of Ripon, a daughter of the late Herman and Ida (Dumdie) Gneiser. She was a graduate of Ripon High School. On December 27, 1949, she was united in marriage to Arthur E. Leese. For the majority of her life, Laila lived and helped on the farm, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Leese was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include her husband Arthur, 2 brothers, Edgar (Mary) Gneiser and Nelson Gneiser, both of Ripon, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral services for Laila these will be 2:30 P.M. Monday, March 11, 1996, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Pastor James D. Mohr officiating.
Visitation will be Monday from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Nepeuskun Cemetery, Winnebago County.
Memorials will be given to Our Saviour’s UCC.
