LaRayne C. Sweeney, age 83, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
LaRayne was born March 17, 1933, in Ripon, the daughter of Benjamin R. and Caroline (Frost) Schmuhl. After graduating from Ripon High School she married her husband Robert H. Sweeney on May 2, 1953. LaRayne was a homemaker and loved singing in the various choirs and quartets she belonged to. LaRayne was a very loving mother and will be forever in our hearts.
LaRayne will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind, her children, Robyn (AJ) Bumby of Jackson, WI, Timothy (Deb) Sweeney of Ripon, WI, and Patrick Sweeney of Ripon, WI; her grandchildren, Casey Sweeney and Katie Bumby; her brother, Russell (Sandra) Schmuhl and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews. LaRayne was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Caroline and her husband, Robert.
Visitation for LaRayne Sweeney will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 9 - 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St, Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for LaRayne Sweeney will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. In lieu of flowers memorials in LaRayne’s honor should be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
