Larry Allen Leu, age 65, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at his home.
Larry was born February 13, 1955, the son of Arthur and Grace (Steineke) Leu. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. On May 12, 1984, he married Cheryl Limbach, also at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Larry worked as a police officer in his early years and moved on to own his own business as a landscaper for many years. He loved golfing, hunting and fishing and was a former member of Walleyes for Tomorrow. Larry was an avid musician. He played guitar and sang, and came to be known as a local favorite through his many performances with a variety of bands over the years. More than anything, Larry cherished every moment he got to spend with his granddaughters, they were truly the light of his life.
Larry is survived by his children, Jeremy (Ashley) Leu of Ripon, Stephanie (Scott) Neuman of Ripon and Brian (Katie) Strock of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Avery and Aubree Neuman and Brayden and Evan Strock; sister, Linda (DuWayne) Pischke of Neshkoro, WI; and brother, Michael (Fran) Leu of Goleta, CA. He was further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Grace Leu; and his wife, Cheryl Leu (May 5, 1994).
A visitation for Larry will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 4 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Per Larrys request, there will be no service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery, City of Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in his name.
