Larry Smoody

Larry T. Smoody, age 53, of Rosendale, WI, passed away early Monday morning, October 15, 2001, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born September 22, 1948, in Ripon, a son to Clarence and Shirley (Semrad) Smoody. He graduated from Ripon High School. On September 21, 1968, he married Doris Marshall. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 – 1974. Larry was a truck driver for Goeden Trucking and had lived in Ripon and Rosendale.
Survivors include his two children, Pam (Marc) Sonnenberg of Ripon and Tyrone Smoody (fiancée, Julie Sabel) of Rosendale and their mother, Doris Smoody of Oshkosh; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Tyus; special friend Donna Thompson of Rosendale; brothers and sisters, Karen (Glen) Mikelson of North Fond du Lac, Linda Miller of Plover, David Smoody (friend, Rosanne Wallendal) of North Fond du Lac and Joann (Ken) Prill of Markesan; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, 2001, from 4 – 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, followed by a funeral service at 6 pm with Reverend David Busker officiating. Cremation will follow. A memorial has been established.
