Laura A. Bloch, age 91, of Green Lake, died Friday, April 12, 1996 at Michalene’s in Ripon where she had lived since February 1996.
She was born March 18, 1905, in Split Rock, WI, the daughter of Herman and Mary Seefeldt Kersten. On January 18, 1927, Laura married Reinhold G. Bloch. Reinhold preceded her in death on December 12, 1989. Laura had lived in Green Lake most of her life, and was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Green Lake.
She is survived by 2 sons, Arlin (Betsy) Bloch of Green Lake and Willis (Anna Lou) Bloch of Ripon; 2 daughters, Donna (Garth) Buchholz and Lois (Robert) Loeffler, both of Green Lake; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; I brother, Wallace Kersten of Tigerton; I sister, Esther Dahm of Denver, CO; and special friend, Bjorg (Ron) Steinhorst of New London. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, 8 brothers and I granddaughter, Amy.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 1996, at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Green Lake. The Reverend Rodney Dietsche will officiate, and interment will follow in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Visitation will be Sunday, April 14 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
As we say our goodbyes to you, our Mom, Nana Laura, and Friend, we remember and celebrate all that made you so special to us: your deep and abiding faith in our Lord, your loving and contented heart, and compassion for others. We love you and will miss you.
