Mrs. Laura Louise Frieda Malzhan, age 94, of Parkview Care Center in Ripon, died Thursday, July 26, 1990, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born June 28, 1896, in Louisville, NB, a daughter of William and Elizabeth Lau Klimke. On October 20, 1914, she married Fredrick A. Malzhan in the Harrisville Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1970.
Survivors include four daughters, Irene (Carl) Albright and Doris Zaugg, both of Ripon, Illa Neal of Tuscon, AZ and Lorraine (Charles) Shuck of Loveland, CO; six sons, Vernard (Ruth), Marvin (Delores) and Fred Jr. all of Ripon, Arnold (Betty) of Berlin, Rhinold (Shirley) of Hiles, WI and Robert (Carrie) of Green Lake; daughter-in-law, Blanche Malzhan; two sisters, Betty (Melvin) Reinhard and Edna Werdin of Montello; one brother, Walter (Esther) Klimke of Sheboygan; 58 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, one daughter, two sons, one sister, one brother, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday from 5 until 9:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Malzhan will be held on Monday, July 30, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with the Reverend James D. Mohr officiating. Interment will be in the Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
Memorials in her name may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
