Lauren “Curly” F. Dunn, 82, of Willowbrook Apartments, Ripon, passed away on Sunday Evening, December 9, 2001 at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
Lauren was born on July 20, 1919, in Fond du Lac County, the son of Thomas and Minnie (Hahn) Dunn. He attended Ripon High School and went to work for Speed Queen in Ripon on the Paint Line for 35 years. He married Loraine Berndt on June 17, 1951 and they made their home in Ripon. Curly was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. He enjoyed bowling and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Curly is survived by two daughters, Darlene Dunn and Dianne Dunn both of Ripon; one brother Orville Dunn of Florida; and special friend, Marie Kastein of Brandon. He was preceded in death by his wife Loraine, and one brother Floyd Dunn.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Rev. Rebecca A. Johnston officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his name. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon.
