LaVerna I. Ballard, age 69, of Ripon, WI, passed away on August 27, 1987, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
LaVerna was born on July 5, 1918, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of George and Leona (Quast) Wocknitz. On July 3, 1937, she married Harold Ballard until his passing on April 24, 1970. LaVerna worked at Ripon Foods for 28 years.
Survivors include two sons, Jack of Ripon and Jerel of Ripon; three daughters, Janice Pugh of Markesan, Joan Weeks of Eldorado and Judy Dalton of Ripon; seven grandchildren, two sisters, Ruby Schrader of Green Lake and Violet “Sis” Ustruck of Hales Corners. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Visitation for LaVerna will be held on Friday, August 28, 1987, from 6 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for LaVerna will be held on Saturday, August 29, 1987, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Carl L. Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
