Lavona Timm, age 78, of Ripon, died August 4, 2000, at Park View Care Center where she had resided for the past 4 months.
Lavona was born November 8, 1921, in West Rosendale, WI, a daughter to Otto and Emma (Gransee) Strehiow. She was educated in West Rosendale and, graduated from Rosendale High School. She married Kenneth Timm on May 26, 1951. Lavona resided in Rosendale and Ripon her entire life and was past owner of Kathryns Dress Shop. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Ripon, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #5278, and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include one sister; Marion (DuWayne) Ferch of Montello, and four nephews; DeWayne Strehlow, John Ferch, Charles Ferch, and David Ferch. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Earl, one sister Margaret, and two infant brothers.
Visitation will be Monday, August 7, 2000, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a V.F.W. Auxiliary service at 7:00 p.m., at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Services will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2000, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service, at Grace Lutheran Church of Ripon with Rev. Paul Holte officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, or the American Heart Association.
