Lawrence T. Kennedy , age 71, of Green Lake, WI, died Tuesday morning, December 18, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh with his family by his side.
He was born July 15, 1930, in New Lisbon, WI, the son of George and Josephine (Lyons) Kennedy. He graduated from New Lisbon High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He then received a degree in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. On June 13, 1961, he married Beverly Brooks. Mr. Kennedy lived most of his life in Green Lake and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon. He was president and owner of LK & Associates, an insurance brokerage company. Larry was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Kennedy of Green Lake; two sons, John (Marji) Kennedy of Waukesha and Tim (Meg) Kennedy of Grafton; one daughter, Jeanne Kennedy of Green Lake; and grandson, Brendan Kennedy of Grafton. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Josephine Kennedy; and two brothers, Denny and Terry Kennedy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, December 20, 2001, at 1 pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until the time of the mass at the church. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Memorials to St. Patrick Church in his name.
