Lena Sommerfeld

Lena Sommerfeld, age 82 of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 1955 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Frank Ford of Greenville.
Lena was born in the Town of Mecan, Marquette County, on October 13, 1872. She has resided in Mecan, Arthur, ND, and Ripon, WI for the past 36 years. In 1893 she married Gustave Sommerfeld, who passed away on October 6, 1943.
Lena is survived by three sons, George and Alfred of Oshkosh, WI, and Walter of Milwaukee, WI; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Ford of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustave Sommerfeld.
Visitation for Lena will be held from 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 1955 until 11:00 am on Thursday, February 24, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 24, 1955 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Funeral service for Lena will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 24, 1955 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery in Princeton, WI.
