Leo C. Fellenz, age 60, of N6017 Heritage Village, Green Lake, died Thursday morning, October 24, 2002, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born May 1, 1942, in Marshfield, the son of Allen H. and Helen C. (Schultz) Fellenz, Sr. He attended Columbus High School in Marshfield, and Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH where he received his BA. Leo served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1964, and on October 24, 1964, married Nancy Zepaltas in Greenwood, WI. He was a technical service manager at Alliance in Ripon where he had worked for 24 years. Leo was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church, Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; 2 sons, Steve Fellenz and his wife, Laurie of Oregon, WI and Tim Fellenz and his wife, Angie of Myrtle Beach, SC; a daughter, Heidi Chupp and her husband, Brad of Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren, Brendan and Katie of Oregon, WI, and Ian and Tanner of Myrtle Beach, SC; 7 brothers, Norm, Allie, Terry, Mark, Pat, Don and Mike; and a sister, Kathy Hargraves. He was preceded in death by parents and infant brother.
Leos greatest joy in life came from family time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was passionate about time spent on the lake and was an avid Badger and Packer fan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2002, at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Ripon with Fr. Robert A. Fictum officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 7 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
