Leona M. Hildebrandt Sharp, age 95, formerly of Ripon, died on May 16, 2008, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home in Fond du Lac.
Leona was born on October 9, 1912, in Green Lake County, the daughter of Gustav and Anna Marie (Pollesch) Hildebrandt. She graduated from Ripon High School and Oshkosh Business College. Leona worked at the Advertisers, Walgreen’s and Kohls Hardware all in Ripon, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. On May 15th, 1965, she married Louis E. Sharp in Ripon.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly (Darrel) Bilderback of Brunswick, GA; four step-sons, David Sharp and Thomas (Jeanne) Sharp of Ripon; Samuel (Jan) Sharp of MN; and Alan (Susan) Sharp of CO; numerous step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Laura Hildebrandt, Ripon, special niece, Shirley Willis and numerous nephews. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Lawrence, Gene, and Ray Hildebrandt, one sister Gladys Dobbratz, and one step-daughter-in-law, Bonnie Sharp.
Visitation for Leona Sharp will be held from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
A Memorial service will be held for Leona Sharp at 2:30 pm on Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Reverend Dean W. Desilet officiating. Inurnment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials can be given to the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, 244 N. Macy St., Fond du Lac, WI 54935 or charity of your choice.
