Leonard Kopitzke

Leonard Theodore Kopitzke, age 91, of Pickett, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at his home.
Leonard was born on December 5, 1917, in Pickett, the son of Theodore and Theresa (Messerschmidt) Kopitzke. He was a dairy and crop farmer. Leonard married Mildred Laabs in 1952 in Oshkosh. He was also a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; one daughter, Karen (Gary) Kopitzke-Salzman; one son, Lynn (Barbara) Kopitzke; grand-children, Garrick Salzman, Grace Kopitzke, Grant Kopitzke, Ryan (Kim) Ross and Tyler Ross. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Arther Kopitzke; and one sister, Grace Kopitzke.
Visitation for Leonard Kopitzke will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009, from 10 – 12:00 noon at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett.
Funeral Service for Leonard Kopitzke will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009, at 12:00 noon at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett. Reverend Russell Kloehn will be officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in the Town of Utica. A memorial has been established in his name.
