Leonard J. Schoor, age 74, of Green Lake, WI, died on December 12, 1984 from a heart attack at his home in Green Lake.
Leonard was born on May 9, 1910 in Amsterdam, Holland. At his death, he was the Vice President of Wisconsin College of Cosmetology, Inc., Green Bay, WI. He was the founder and owner of Madison Academy of Beauty Culture, Inc. in Madison, WI. He was also the previous owner of the House of Leonard's Inc. in Madison. Leonard was a past member of the Lions Club of Madison, Madison Curling Club, Four Lakes Yacht Club when he resided in Madison.
At his death he was a member of the Mendota Yacht Club, National Hairdressers and Cosmetologist Association since 1925, Wisconsin Hairdressers and Cosmetologist Association, and Green Lake Federated Church. Leonard was the youngest of the four original founders of the University of Wisconsin Boxing Club.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Vivian; daughter, Leani (Jack) Puccio of Cottage Grove, WI and their children, Lance and Cori; two sons, Lon (Donna) Schoor of Madison, WI and their child, Tera, and Ned (Ruth) Schoor of Green Bay, WI and their children Raymond and Austin; four step grandchildren, Meredith and Kevin Sharp and Michelle and Nicole Nellis of Ripon, WI; as well as Bonnie Sharp and David Sharp of Ripon, WI.
Leonard's family had a private memorial service at his home in Green Lake, WI, on January 6, 1984.
