Leonhard L. Kemnitz, 68, died Tuesday, October 16, 1990, at his Route #2, Ripon residence.
He was born January 25, 1922, in the Town of Green Lake, a son to Richard and Clara Gurke Kemnitz. On November 16, 1946, he married Gloria Thompson.
Mr. Kemnitz was educated in Ripon and graduated from the UW-Madison, Class of 1942. He farmed his familys homestead all of his life. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the National Riflemens Association. He was past President of Association of Retarded Citizens and a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife; 1 son, Louis at home; 2 daughters, Mrs. Scott (Debbie) Gohlke of Oshkosh and Mrs. Dan (Cheryl) Rohde of Sheboygan; 3 grandchildren, Peter, Kelly and Nicole Rohde, and 1 brother, Irving of Markesan. One sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 until 8 P.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services for Mr. Kemnitz will be held Friday at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. The Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon.
A memorial has been established.
